Sebring sport exhaust - too loud

  • Just a quick question - I can see quite a few Sebring Sport exhaust systems for sale in the market section, why?
Is it to loud or is the exhaust tone it produces just in that frequency that goes straight through the CX-3 and makes it hard to live with?
    Please explain

  • Hello @Batcave,

Not easy to answer. A few were stresssed out because of the vibrations in the car or the noise. Officially Mazda Deutschland doesn‘t offer the Sebring anymore for CX-3.

Firstly the Sebring must be installed perfectly, that there won‘t be tensions in the exhaust gas system. We needed three trys to reduce noise and vibrations - 1800-2200 rpm - down to an acceptable level.
Secondly I insulated the bottom of the trunk with Alubutyl.

The Sebring in our CX-3 is clearly audible and sensible but I love it. The deep bass always brings a smile and astonishes me, that is is produced by a 2l-engine. Great :0026:
